How to Get Rid of Painful Earaches and Ear Infections Naturally!

Earaches can be dull and aching, or sharp and piercing. You might know the cause immediately, but sometimes you might struggle to find out what’s wrong with your kid who’s crying in pain while tugging his/her earlobe.
Although often uncomfortable and debilitating, earaches don’t necessarily require a round of antibiotics. In fact, you can probably find the solution in your kitchen, or in your medicine cabinet.

Causes

According to the latest guidelines from the AAP, the treatment of earaches should be focused on pain management, instead of antibiotics. Overuse of antibiotics can often cause antibiotic-resistant infections, and usually ear infections go away on their own.
Earaches can be caused by various reasons, including: sinus infections, cavities, teeth grinding, and tonsillitis. The most common ear infection is middle ear infection, or AOM (acute otitis media). It’s characterized by infected and swollen portions of the middle ear. The AOM pain happens as a result of trapped fluid behind the eardrum. Some of the symptoms are pain inside the ear, fever, feeling sick, and slight hearing loss. Children and babies can be restless, and pulling at their ears.
